My Friday Favorite Things Latest Movies
Happy Friday friends & happy My Friday Favorite Things Latest Movies! I have been watching a few movies on Netflix, Amazon Prime and at the theatre and I thought I would share a few that I have seen that I enjoyed. I also want to share my holiday favorites.
First is Room, we enjoyed this movie at Violet Crown Cinema in downtown Austin. An enjoyable movie, but a bit long in the beginning. I believe the young boy really stole the movie. He was beyond believable in such a terrible situation of being held hostage by a sexual kidnapper & then living & learning to live outside in the real world that his mother has taught him.
SXSW Film Festival was all abuzz about Ex_Machina this year & I was able to finally see it on Amazon Prime. This movie was eerily realistic to me & I loved it! I love technology and I believe that this beautiful ‘Ava’ is already in production somewhere in the world. If you like to dabble just a bit into sci-fi, you have got to check this one out!
Some Kind of Beautiful is such a fun & light hearted romantic comedy. I don’t know about you, but the beautiful and perfect acting Salma Hayek & Jessica Alba as sisters in a movie and I am sold! Put in Pierce Brosnan for a love triangle and this has a lot of heart. If you have sisters over for the holidays, put this on to enjoy some laughs and time together.
The Broken Circle Breakdown is a love story. The Broken Circle Breakdown is a heartache story. This is a movie that can’t be missed. It’s true, I really appreciate foreign film most. This film has subtitles, so keep that in mind, but it is worth it. You will fall in love with this couple, then their family and get ready for the love story.
I love fashion and fashion movies. Any movie that features fashion designers behind the scenes and The Ateliers & I am always watching it. I have shared with you before that my favorite is, L’amour fou, but there are so many that I have seen. The movie, Dior and I really impressed me because this shows Raf Simons coming into The Dior Fashion house and he just announced that he is leaving the fashion house. There is so much coverage in the atelier and it’s fantastic! If you love fashion or art, check this one out.

I am such an art lover & as soon as I saw this movie was about an art auctioneer, I was sold! This art auctioneer keeps very much to himself and when he finds himself involved with an heiress that does the same, he is beside himself. He is also willing to share his secrets with her, yes, he has secrets… This is a love story that shows Love is the greatest masterpiece.
